oh my god this book was soooo good. i haven’t been this invested in a thriller in a long time. i stayed awake hours past my bedtime just so i could finish it in one fell swoop. i’m still sitting here confused about how the author managed to completely bend my brain and make me believe things that weren’t true and deliver on a 100 percent unpredictable ending.

This book was definitely a very fast paced page-turner. It was intense the whole way through and i questioned almost every character. great book!

Ehhh this book was just okay for me. The beginning was so hard to get into it was super slow. Ending was okay but also kinda eh. Also how do we get two people in one story in a sex offender situation where they come out as a victim in a way as well. Don’t care for that narrative.

I'm beginning to think I might be burning out of thrillers. The premise of this one was fine but it felt like it was such a slow burn that nothing happened until the last 30 pages. There were just so many portions of the book that added nothing to the plot - not even red herrings, just random scenes that added nothing (Claire going back to work, details about the neighbours' lives, etc.). I'll still give it three stars, because when the end came, I was surprised by how it ended, which was nice at least.

This is the third book of Taylor's that I have read and they have all been fantastic. A real page turner, which lets you think you've solved the crime and then takes a whole different turn.

The countless cups of tea is probably the only thing that reminds me it's set in England. This is the first time I'm reading a book with English curses like wanker, tosser, and nonce. It's not overly applied, and only to create a scene, more of a background to the story. Great storyline, and completely unpredictable which is exactly what I expect from a good thriller. I had to consider each character after every development, and I never came close to figuring it out! I love the disbelief I experienced at the conclusion.

> This is the second book from the list my sister shared with me.
> Agatha Christie had a condition called dissociative amnesia?! I must look it up.
