early vampire lit is sooo funny idk how to properly rate it
it’s like here’s this guy who looks like a vampire and talks like a vampire and goes out at night and bites women
And then fifty pages later it’s like omg he was *a vampire*!!!!!
anyway despite having very little to shock 21st century readers was a nice quick read to frame future vampire fic. 
also i feel like the author was maybe in love with lord byron. A little bit.
