Bree and Matt investigate the death of a woman whose murder was made to look like a suicide. Lots of twists in the solution to the mystery. You’ll never guess whodunnit.

I love how I thought I had the case all figured out, and then I'm thrown for a loop. An unexpected one at that. But overall, it was a brilliant turn of events in the case. I love seeing Bree and Matt's relationship grow, along with her relationship with her niece and nephew. Bree is also warming up to Matt's dog. Three books out of ten, and I love these characters. I also enjoyed getting some background on Matt's sister, Katie, over a few chapters.

This was one of my favorite mystery aspects from Leigh to date and definitely my fav of the series! I loved the tiny glimpse of Lance and Morgan too. I cannot wait for the next installment.

The mystery style in this series isn't particularly one that intends or enables the reader to figure it out, which I don't necessarily mind as long as there aren't insane twists. That said, the resolution in this one felt more out of left field that the first two.

The ending was so unpredictable, I didn't see that coming at all
