The stakes are higher as 13-year-old Otto and his friends race to rescue HIVE head master Nero from HOPE, but HOPE is not what it appears to be, Otto is not who he appears to be, and Number One is definitely not who he appears to be. A fast paced read although the series is getting darker. What next?

Another exciting installment in the HIVE series. Why does it take so long for these books to come out in the US?

This series continues to be enjoyable if getting more outlandish. But that makes it more unpredictable which is part of the fun.

The third installment in the H.I.V.E. science fiction series. Dr. Nero has been captured by enemies of H.I.V.E. and the Contessa has returned as Number One's choice to lead the school - no one is happy to see her and she obviously has a secret agenda. Otto and his friends manage to escape the school when the Contessa orders them transferred. H.I.V.E.-Mind has been deleted and can no longer help those who remain at the school or Otto - or can he? Fans of the series will enjoy this installment.

A quick, exciting read. It is very fun to watch everyone get pwned by a crew of over-powered kids. It is a predictable book, but that is to be expected, and I still think that it was a very enjoyable read.

Almost done w/ this. I say I really like it, although I am not enjoying it that much now because I am speed reading so I know what happens. (uugh, stupid instant gratification) So, this will be reread.
It was shelved in the YA section of the Fairfax County Public Library, but I don't think it is inappropriate for elementary school. There is some violence, but for the most part, the kids in the story aren't perpetrating the violence at least not in the way I perceived in the Alex Rider stories. Plus, the romance hinting is very G rated.
The rest of the books in this series will be published in the US by the fall.

The series is still fun. This book felt a little more far-fetched and larger-than-life than the previous installments, but given how its targeted to middle readers, I don't think it's a huge problem.
