Autumn Rose: A Dark Heroine Novel by Abigail Gibbs Autumn Rose is not your average 15 year old girl. Sure, she has the sullen attitude down pat. But her problems are a little bigger than that of her fellow students. See, Autumn isn’t exactly human. The scars that cover half of her body identify her as a Sage, whose race can wield magic.
I really enjoyed Autumn Rose. The story is very different than the first in the series, which is about Violet Lee, another Heroine. I definitely recommend for a fun YA read.
My only issue was the weird sex dreams. Autumn is a seer and keeps dreaming about Violet Lee having sex with the vampire Prince Kaspar. She even walks in on them and watches when they finally meet in person. Yet when her time comes it is a total fade to black. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Ok so lunch time reading last week was Autumn Rose by Abigail Gibbs which i liked. Some people have moaned about the fact that the two main characters from book 1 Dinner with a Vampire Violet and Kaspar weren't in this book enough. I found though that the story didn't need them overpowering it as it almost is like this one should have come first as it explains more of the back story. This book runs almost parallel time line wise with the first one and focuses more on the lives of Autumn and Fallon. The ending does bring the reader further along with the journey of finding the Dark Heroines, one from each of the nine parallel universes which is what the stories are about. So looks like there could be another possible 7 books being done to continue the journey until an epic battle happens at the end which is where it is all leading to.
When I first began reading the book, I was rather disappointed to find out that it was even about the Kaspar and Violet (the two characters I had fallen in love with from the first book). But this book surprised me. I figured I wasn't going to like it but the chemistry between Fallon and Autumn from the very beginning was adorable. The author is setting it up so each book will be about each different heroine so don't count the book out before you've even read it because each character from every remaining book is just as important in Kaspar and Violet's story though they aren't in it or are only mentioned or are only in it for 20% of the book.

Tackling my tbr from 2016..
It was a fun read. I forgot how much I love vampire romance! Violet & Kaspar we’re truly enemies to lovers because I’m surprised she even fall for him but then again I get it. I would have fallen for him too.
I really wanted Violet and Fabian to have a nice friendship because it did look like that in the beginning but he had to go and ruin it… ugh, he pissed me off after everything. I’m kind of glad they didn’t rekindle their friendship because he doesn’t deserve it with the way he acted..
Anyways, I need to buy the second book now and I want more. Hopefully there’s more. Violent and Kaspar!!!

I enjoyed this book more than it's predecessor but it still relied far too much on a weak main character. For someone who is supposed to be a Heroine she sure is pathetic

I kept losing interest and focus in this book, like all books I struggle with on the first attempt of reading this one ill put down has lost interest due to emotions from another book and I will try to reread it at another time and see if my opinion on it changes
The writing felt a little more broken than the first one, but I liked the characters and the storyline. Making each book in a different Heroine point of view was a great idea.
