I just finished this and am so thankful I didn't read it before now. I would have read it with a lot of uh-huh (page turn), uh-huh. Now it falls on a person who is more likely its intended audience and has been a cool drink for my soul. It has my hearty recommendation.
However, if you will inevitably read it with others in mind, then hold off until the read can be for you personally.
This one makes my re-read list.

Absolutely excellent book! I listened to it twice, in a row, just because I felt like I hadn't gotten everything out of it that I needed to--and I still feel like I have a lot to learn from this book. It's just that good. Hopefully I can get my own print copy sometime soon!

An excellent reflection on the Christian life and what it means to pursue God in all things.

Tozer speaks with the voice of one who has seen and known God and desires to see and know him more and more. Just what I needed to read at just this time. I am already looking forward to rereading this and being reminded to pursue God not just academically or intellectually but personally and relationally.

“The Bible will never be a living Book to us until we are convinced that God is articulate in His universe. To jump from a dead, impersonal world to a dogmatic Bible is too much for most people. They may admit that they should accept the Bible as the Word of God, and they may try to think of it as such, but they find it impossible to believe that the words there on the page are actually for them. A man may say, “These words are addressed to me,” and yet in his heart not feel and know that they are. He is the victim of a divided psychology. He tries to think of God as mute everywhere else and vocal only in a book.”
“Question: What is the chief End of Man? Answer: Man’s chief End is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”

I appreciated this book. The central theme is that intellectual belief and theological understanding is not enough.
"The presence of God is the central fact of Christianity. At the heart of the Christian message is God Himself waiting for his redeemed children to push into conscious awareness of His presence...Ignoble contentment takes the place of burning zeal. We are satisfied to rest in our judicial possessions and, for the most part, we bother ourselves very little about the absence of personal experience."
