I absolutely loved the first 75% of this book. It was so interesting and I loved the characters and I love the plot and I loved the mystery. But the ending. The ending was just so crazy, so out of the blue, it just absolutely lost me and it went from being four-star to being a three star and honestly, I’m debating making it more 2 1/2 was too much at the end. Another review said that if the book had been shorter, it would’ve been twice as good and I thoroughly agree they taken out would be way too convoluted twists it would’ve been amazing. I am super bummed because I absolutely loved the first chunk but now I don’t think I’ll read anymore of this books.

Joël Dicker lo hace de nuevo. Logra cautivarme con todas sus historias y sus personajes. Sobre todo, ha conseguido sorprenderme una vez más (y de forma muy grata!). Este libro es bastante largo pero no se siente que ninguna pagina le sobra, excelente recomendación para fans del misterio como yo.

Na drie eerdere boeken van deze auteur met veel plezier te hebben gelezen, waren mijn verwachtingen voor deze nieuwe roman hooggespannen en de overwegend lovende recensies tot dusverre droegen daar alleen maar aan bij. Maar na lezing ben ik toch ietwat teleurgesteld achtergebleven. Het is ontegenzeggelijk een goed geschreven verhaal met een ingenieus plot, maar ik vond het allemaal een beetje te ongeloofwaardig. 3½ ster
