The lost girls of Rome:
When I picked the book, the title gave me the impression that the novel was about a bunch of missing girls in Rome whom were never found.
David is a photojournalist, he was in the hunt for a new big story when he fell from the fifth floor of an abandoned building and it was ruled as an accident.
Officer Sandra Vega, his wife is having trouble believing the fact it was an accident and so, she starts to go after the truth which means, she has to follow the same story that might have lead to her husband’s murder. It also means, she might put her life in danger.
The story takes place in two time lines, and three main characters;
A year ago - The hunter
The current day - Sandra & Marcus
At first it is a bit confusing as we don’t know how Marcus is relevant to the story, and how they’re connected to one-another.
Also, as the writer moves from a timeline to another, it is confusing.
Nevertheless, the Novel is very well written, it’s full of twists, sudden turn of events, the clever way of ending each section is just brilliant!
It’s a very hand-gripping, brilliantly thrilling and I was so eager to finish this book and find out the truth about everything and let me tell you this; I DID NOT EXPECT THIS ENDING!!
Now because the author is Italian and the book is translated, there are few spelling and grammatical mistakes. But nonetheless, I certainly can’t wait to read more books written by Donato Carissi and I highly recommend this book.

Of course there's another shocking ending! He's a genius. But I have so many questions now.

This book was brilliant. A total page turner, with characters you really warmed to and an interesting plot.
There's a twist towards the end. I was expecting something, and had tried to guess every possible outcome as I read, but my mind was completely blown.
A really fantastic book that I can't recommend enough.
