SpoilerThe art is exquisite, with writing to match. Subtle changes in scenes, everything tying back together. Plus the whole rationale behind the Joker's actions... one bad day. NICE.

I read the original “The Killing Joke” years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Stumbling upon Batman Noir made me fall even more in love with the story. The black and white aspect of the illustrations add even more to the 1940s era, making it eerie and unsettling as the story progresses.

Brilliant, dark, but still human. This represents all that people love about Batman comics.

"Ecco tutta la distanza che passa tra me e il mondo: una brutta giornata."

While I felt the origin story for the Joker in here was mediocre (I actually prefer the more open, just some nutjob origin), I did really like the interaction between Batman and Joker.

The Barbara Gordon bit was unsurprisingly frustrating for me, as it was pretty unnecessary to cripple her character in such a way...sadly, yet another instance of using a female character purely for the character development of the men.

Still enjoyed this, but there were issues. I probably would have been more forgiving of Barbara if I hadn't previously known about the creative discussion behind it.

Won’t lie, all the build up kinda ruined this for me. It was good, it was... but if you know the bullet points, you know the whole thing.

One of the quintessential Batman stories. If you're a fan of the Dark Knight you have to read this.
