As I read this, it was a solid three stars. But then in the last quarter of the book it sort of just went off the rails. Plus, the love triangle was never fully addressed by the end! What happened with the other guy?? 

There were some weird inconsistencies. First with Gunner's parentage. He claimed to have never told anyone else that he knew but then there was a whole but with his "father" making it sound like the man knew Gunner knew, only to be shocked when Gunner said he knew. (I know that's a mouthful but that's how it read!) There was also the inconsistency with how old Willa's brother was. I had him around 9 tops then he's talking about smoking pot with a friend and I had to pause. 

Also, fair warning, this author used rape as a plot device not once but twice.
