This volume concludes Loguetown, encompasses all of Reverse Mountain, and begins Whisky Peak. A blend of classic One Piece comedy, action, and emotional moments.

âž½ This volume continues Luffy's adventures in Loguetown! After a failed assassination by Buggy, Luffy is chased by Captain Smoker, who is determined to stop any pirates from entering the Grand Line. Just in time, a hooded character called Dragon appears to face off with the Marines! I kind of got spoiled for who he is, but I still liked his ominous entrance and air of mystery. Once again, I also find it funny how Tashigi ticks off Zoro, who still sees Kuina in her 😂

➽ After escaping Loguetown, the crew has their famous scene: sharing their dreams before entering the Grand Line. I know it from the Netflix show, but here it was even more epic as it takes places during a huge storm! Entering the Grand Line isn't as easy as they thought, as it involves sailing up a huge mountain and getting swallowed. I found the whale Laboon's storyline so heartbreaking, as he's been abandoned and has been ramming his head against the Red Line for years! We also meet two mysterious figures who lead the crew to Whisky Peak, a town that isn't what it seems 👀

The first half felt really slow for my liking.

Now with the new island (on the grand line!) that was fun, seeing zoro fight again.
Also, I watched the live action and WOW! THAT SHIT WAS GOOOOOOD! Excited for S2

The crew inside the whale was intense! As usual, this volume was full of adventure and action. The trio, of Luffy, Sanji, and Ussop cracked me up. And Luffy's inflated stomach and Zoro fighting was a sight😂

I took a long break between this one and the last volume but I am skeptical glad to be back! The whale arc was absolutely amazing! Just that a couple things felt just a tad bit too fast for me (like the weather bit).
