Though this book is just light entertainment, it was really good light entertainment, especially if you like mysteries or Jane Austen (or in my case, both). Bebris' series is one of the few Jane Austen continuations that I thought was done really well. Her writing style reads like 19th century English literature, to me at least. I am by no means a scholar of literature, so that may not be accurate, but just my perception. I also like her characterization of Elizabeth and Darcy.

In terms of the mystery, it was decent. Not too easily guessed but not impossible to figure out. This book stood out to me in the series as it seems that Bebris found her voice and was comfortable writing about these characters. And it was pretty humorous at times.

All in all, I think this is a great book for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't typically enjoy these kinds of books (Jane Austen continuations/cozy mysteries). I was reading it simply for entertainment, which I found in abundance.

This book was entertaining. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are happily married and now engaged in... detective work. Yeah, entertaining. I thought the author did a good job of protecting the integrity of the characters although she was better with Elizabeth than Mr. Darcy. And it was a fun and clever idea to throw in the characters from Northanger Abby. I enjoyed reading it, I might even read another one from this series.

This is probably my favorite of the series thus far. I love the idea of a 'treasure hunt' complete with clues. The author does a credible job remaining true to Austen's characters, and Elizabeth shows a quite a bit of sass here, as she's stuck with Lady Catherine for much of the book. There really wasn't much to dislike about the book at all, and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
