I really enjoyed this second novel by J Sterling. It was nice to see the love Jack and Cassie had for each other in this book! They had some good and bad times but so happy they made it through all the hardships. I'm hoping we will get another book this series has become one of my favorites! Sterling had my attention the whole book. Well done and can't wait to read more from this promising author!

I almost don't even want to read this after how pissed off I got while reading the first one but I'm curious to see why this story is continuing. I want to see where this is going. But I swear to God if Jack cheats on her again then that's it. I will quit. I'm done. And I'll be so insanely pissed that I gave this book a chance.
6/26
Just as bad, if not worse than the first one. Basically Cassie forgave him right away, trusted him right away, and acted like him cheating on her never happened. Then when she finally needs a break Jack acts like a complete prick, blames her, and says he "needs some time" WELL FUCK YOU TOO JACK FUCKING CARTER!
Books like this encourage smart, capable women to stay with complete losers who treat women like shit. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE END UP ON JERRY SPRINGER. Jack is a conceited asshole and I'm pissed I wasted $3.99 on this book.

While I was reading this I kept questioning if these characters were as faulted and annoying in the first book. Mainly the heroine, Cassie. She took Jack back but throughout the whole book, she shows that maybe she shouldn't have because she didn't seem like she was ready to be in a relationship with him.
At the end of the book, the author says that the existence of this book is due in fact to the fan base wanting more of Jack and Cassie, so she made a new story. To me, this book is an example of when sequels shouldn't happen. It seemed obvious that Jack and Cassie's story had run it's good story-telling course in the first book. I fell in love with them and their story then, because they were in college dealing with college-aged things, so their maturaty matched their story so I don't think I minded some of their faults as much. In this second book, they were in an adult would but still acting like a kid (mainly Cassie). I don't mean to invalidate these issues, it just wasn't very entertaining to read. Overall, it was just not very complex and it would've been better if it were more developed.

This is a continuation to the love story of Jack and Cassie.
Gives an inside view of the life of a pro ball player and what it takes to be in a relationship with one.
They have been dealt a rough hand in life but they endured so much to be together.
The Mateo thing was interesting as it turned the tables on them for a “second” and they had to work through that truth.
The proposal process was so sweet! I love that he called her parents even though he didn’t technically have to.
And the epilogue and their wedding! Swoon!

Super cute follow up to the first book. I love Jack and Cassie but sometimes I just want to shake them and yell for them to get their shit together!!! There was one part of the story that I feel was kind of glossed right on over, it was almost too easy to get rid of that scenario. Maybe it will pop up in the third book, maybe not!!
I did not enjoy this book as well as the first one. Basically, if you read the epilogue from the first book, it's a condensed synopsis of this book. I enjoyed reading the continued story of Jack and Cassie, however, I felt that by reading the epilogue in the first book, the conflict of this book was a bit spoiled because I knew how it would end.
I really loved the story of jack and Cassie!!! I loved seeing it through his eyes and how he needed to be baggage free before he came to her!! The ups and downs of these 2 I found myself smiling a lot with this book! And the bitch slap heard round the world go Cassie it was a long time coming
