This book really hit me. I cried a few times. The way it deals with grief is amazing.

This one is just as good as the first one. The first one made me bawl. This one made me cry. My heart hurt so bad for Cael. This is such an emotional read but I loved every second of it.

A heartbreaking but life-affirming young adult romance.

The book explores Savanna and Cael’s grief journey following the loss of their older siblings. Within a group they travel across the world to process and heal from their grief,

Whilst the romance itself is predictable, how each of the countries visited mirrors the stages of grief is well thought out and beautifully written.

The links back to Poppy and Rune throughout the book made me the most emotional. The perfect book if you need a good cry but a happy ending.

A beautiful second book that builds on the story from the first.

A wonderful depiction of grief, love and growth.

4.75 ⭐️ I cannot lie to you I am still sobbing whilst writing this review. This is such a beautiful read, but please do be aware of the triggers and heartbreak that it does include 🤍 This duet has had me laughing, crying, smiling and honestly deeply thinking about life, friendships, relationships, grief, terminal illness and so many other topics. It has to be up there with my most tabbed books ever, because the amount of love, grief, sorrow and heartbreak in this book (and the first) is huge in the best ways possible. it really does get you thinking alongside the storyline of the more real life questions and thought provoking moments in life to consider and never take to granted.

Personally, I believe this book was better than A thousand boy kisses. The way the author paints a picture of grief, and how everyone recovers, is simply beautiful. I truly believe this book has helped me and will continue to help me with processing grief.
I hate how Tillie Cole killed off Rune in the epilogue. He was a favorite of mine in the first book, so it hurts my heart. But it does make me happy Rune and Poppy are back together.
