Because I’m now this person. Great for easy intel on each pose and the musculature involved, amazing drawings, and cute anti-woo myth-busting. But still a DK book so I guess I’ll be looking for something more advanced.
Especially great for people who haven't had much yoga experience to teach them proper alignment. Most of it is graphics of each pose and which muscles are being used and how. I definitely learned from it, but it wasn't quite what I expected.

Pretty informative on different yoga poses and they way they can help your body. It also offers helpful modifications for certain poses they help woth injury or limited flexibility.
This book should be part of your library especially if you practice or teach yoga. I love the anatomy and how each pose is broken down by skeletal structure, muscle, joints and what muscles are engaged by stretching. Also, give you tips on variations of a pose or props to use. Beautifully crafted book. Ann Swanson outdid herself on this!!! Thank you!
