I enjoy this series a lot and always like the next adventure of Veronica and Stoker.  I'm excited to see what Veronica's growth in this issue will lead to in the next!

Not my favourite of the Speedwell series but still wildly fun to read. This book was focused on mostly Veronica and her own internal conflicts while working on a murder case with Stoker. Just as delightful and easy to read as the rest but Veronica seemed a lot less than she normally does in the other books in the series. Regardless the Speedwell Series always a great cozy historical fiction mystery with an incredible cast of female characters. Deanna Raybourn is bringing us all heroines and villans to love and I always go back to this series, I've read it start to finish several times now while I wait for another book in the series. I really enjoy Veronica's character, she inspires me.

Another hilarious adventure for Veronica Speedwell. While I hated to have her and Stoker apart, it added a new element to the story since they're been romantically together for so many books! I didn't see the murder coming or their motive. It all made sense in the end and I loved the ending!
