I need the next book now. That's all I have to say. This series is one of my absolute favorites

This was on par with the others. The standout here is Olbric's journey. It was interesting to read and clearly written with care and consideration.

I understand that this is kind of meant to just be an in-between book for the series, but it still felt like two stories were fused to make a full novel. Of course I still enjoyed it!
The “championship” is really only the first half of the book.
The second half focuses on Olbric a lot more (his POV is used throughout the book which did take some getting used to but overall I liked the change.) He has a coming-out arc where he addresses his gender fluidity and I loved how that was address and described. I really connected with that plot in particular.

Now the characters are set up for a long journey and I’m excited to see where the author takes us. Their next book in the series comes out this fall. :)

Oh my everloving.. okay so this book is not as spicy or kinky as book 2 but what it has a lot of is plot, emotions, character growth... I am in love with these characters and the way this entire group has grown in this book!!!! Dom is becoming more himself and learning more about everyone around him and how they relate to him. Arlon is really starting to set Dom up for success and pushing him to be his best self... there is a horrible cliffy ending but it's really not overly cliffy but it is though... we learn much more about olbrics past and family and why olbric is at the crux. We also learn more about thaddius and his past and family while the crux is still dealing with diran.

I love that we finally got the "L word"! I cannot wait for hook 4! There is so much happening that needs more explanation!
