I like people like Ino and Ijichi. Compared to someone like Gojo or even Nanami, they aren't people who are crazy strong or talented. Just average people trying their best to help, even if that help seems insignificant in the grand scheme of things. More cogs in the machine.
I also just love moments where Itadori goes berserk bc it's always from a place of compassion and empathy. He hates seeing the people around him, even perfect strangers, being hurt. He has little regard for his own life, but he would give the shirt over his back to help these people. Yet, he's never blinded by his compassion. He's rational and flexible, anle to analyse the situation and adapt accordingly. The shifting perception of his own moral code gwans at him even as he tries so hard to stay true to his own creed.
Junpei is another character that grows on you. He's a product of a corrupt and broken education system that's let him down and never truly tried to understand him or empathise. Heartbroken and disillusioned by humanity, he was vulnerable and easy prey for other predators to manipulate to their cause. I wish he had met itadori earlier and that the happier, more hopeful future he envisioned for had time to take root. He would have made a good jujutsu sorcerer.
I get so many Envy flashbacks from this arc I hate it. The only silverlining was Gojo's interactions with Nanami and Iori. And Itadori's surprise. And also his meeting with todo! I cannot wait for the next arc!

I didn't find this one as compelling as previous issues. A little more disjointed, though the 'resolution' of the Mahito/Junpei storyline was interesting, if riddled with incomprehensible battle moments. Poor little emo kid.

This feels like kind of a "meh" volume but maybe it's because I took a long break between reading JJK
