A simple, sentimental story
While I did overall like this simple sorry I felt like many of the hard issues of running away or living an unconventional life we’re not fully fleshed. There could have been multiple places for tension which would lead to growth, for example Caitlin felt flat and one note and while her perspective was nice it didn’t add much. But I understand that this wasn’t that type of story but as 15+ it could’ve done much more.

This is the first time I’ve read this book since I first read it for school many years ago. I absolutely love the style this book is written in, and the story itself is wonderful. I remember really enjoying it when we did it for school, and I’m glad to discover I enjoyed it just as much now.
