Friday I'm in love is a short and sweet novella about professional Megan Macauley who ogles a stranger every Friday across the street, at his apartment. She can see perfectly into his apartment from her desk. Turns out, the man is her company's auditor.

Perfect for some light reading, I finished the book in about an hour. For how short it is, I really enjoyed the characters. Megan is terrible at dating, wants a new/better apartment, and a better paying job. I also liked how professional she remained (when not being a peeping Tom!) and confident she was about her job.

I also loved the humor, especially with Jean. The humor didn't feel forced or over-the-top. The romance aspect was sweet and at times, cute. In my opinion, worth the read. It's not a big commitment and was fun to read.

It wa a cute story but I found that the pace was very fast. They barely knew each other and it was bam let's go to your house. There was no build-up in the romance between. Just both of them staring at the other. It was cute but I'd live to see more about there realtionship. There is no talking bout what they like just plainly let's date and thats it.

I received an ARC of this books (thanks!) and these are my own opinions.

It is weird that the book was both too long in terms of plot (and lack of spice!) and too short in terms of actual story!
I liked Megan and Cruz together and while I understood the need for plot (nice setup!) it was over way too fast.

When the “saucy” part of this book was finally started, the story was over. Which is a bit of a let down.

Entertaining yes, short easy read yes, but it did not really deliver and left me wanting more.

A fun, charming read that really could have been an awesome full-length novel. We follow Megan, a web designer whose office window perfectly looks into the bedroom window of her dream-man. She doesn’t exactly know who he is, but she knows he’s gorgeous and she knows exactly when she will catch a glimpse of him. It’s her favorite work routine. Until one day when he shows up at her office to audit productivity.

The meet cute is perfection. The banter between her and her co-worker, Jean (who absolutely steals the show in the book), and even the chemistry between her and Cruz (dream-man) is spot on- BUT, it kinda falls off after they meet. And to me I think it’s because it’s a short. I would have loved for their working relationship to be way way longer and the chemistry and spark to grow. Maybe even a little enemies to lovers?! It went from great to a bummer. But I suppose that’s a good problem to have, in the sense that the writing and characters were great and I just wanted more! 3.5 ⭐️
