Im still waiting for something... Anything to happen.
It's not a good book, but it's not a bad book it's just meh!

The whole story was in premise, great, but in reality, it didn't really come through. It kind of just hovered and didn't go anywhere.

The one bit I did like about the book was that it made me consider what the story of an item in a charity shop actually is. I use them all the time but I hadn't ever considered the past history and I'm kind of intrigued now and wish I knew (well, maybe 🤣)

I also liked the relationship between the MFC and her best friend and how much things had changed because of assumption and not asking what you want to know, and how easy it was to fix their relationship when they actually talked.

The actual narrator of the book was alright, considering it's just 1 person acting out all the characters.

All in all, it was a disappointing book for me. Never mind on to something else.

I did acc really enjoy this one, ultimately not much happens plot wise. The focus is definitely on the character arch and development. Which is just such a flip switch, 180 degrees, away from what I used to seek in books. I didn’t so much relate to a lot of this, as much as, empathise and it felt pretty cool(?) to have some life fears articulated and reassured in 350 pages

Found this quite dull and slow paced and a chore to finish by the end. Maybe I’m not the target audience: the story might be more appreciated by those who relate more to the main character
