Great pacing and likeable characters.

Magic in mirrors, alternative worlds, doorways through mirrors. All these topics had me so interested in this book when it arrived.

I wasn’t disappointed, this was read in a day. Funny, fresh and exciting.

Claire’s world is one set in the late 19th century where our world has separated from the magic a few hundred years in the past and the only link are Mirrors.

The mystery and magic develops through the book when Ava returns after the death of her father and discovers a lot about herself and this new (to her world). Inextricably linked to Unworld by a bargain sealed years ago, Ava is the key to both worlds salvation or destruction.

I would love to see this world developed further.

A compelling read, always wanting to find out what happened next, make sure you get your copy soon.

Such fun! I loved the magical Victorian setting, the characters and most of all The Book.

Fantastic enjoyable book sprinkled with magic, humour and adventure.

Ava and her brother move to Wyse which is the last human town where magic works. Why is this? And how do the only 2 working magic mirrors link with magical twinned town of Unwyse.

Some great parallel world, careful what you wish for shenanigans going on. And the magic book - brilliant.

This was sooo good!!

This book was so cute and would do really well in a middle grade classroom. There’s adventure, friendship, action. This would be a great stepping stone on the way to Harry Potter for those not quite ready for HP.

Solid 3 stars. A cute and intriguing story, but never quite delves far enough into the details to flesh it all out. I actually would have welcomed an additional chapter or two to offer a bit more meat to the characters, the setting, and how these two worlds came to be.

This book has everything required for a good story: magic mirrors, enchantments, fair folk, and a sassy book 👍🏻

fun and entertaining and a jolly good read :)
