IT felt like two books in one, because we get to see Gideon falling in love with Aleron twice. Poor Aleron suffered a lot though, but Gideon did grovel, and did things to make up for all the hurt he caused. I loved Aleron, his innocence and enthusiasm. I liked that Gideon never made him feel less because he didn’t understand things, and defended him when others made him feel bad.

WHEW!! I want my own Duskwalker! 😂😭

MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW

I loved watching Gideon and Aleron's relationship blossom so sweetly there in Tenebris, and their further adventures as they worked to get back topside together.

But DAYUM did I wanna kick Gideon in the nuts after he lost his memories and then treated Aleron so horribly!! And poor, sweet Aleron was totally lost.... I will admit that watching Gideon fall back in love with Aleron was a sweet, steamy ride!

I can't wait for more books in this series, not just for the new stories, but also because I want to see how all my fave couples are doing!

These books are unnecessarily long.
And we badically read the same plotline twice when Gideon lost his memories and had to fall in love all over again.

I know how emotions work so it's really annoying that they're always overexplained in these books. Like, let the characters do stuff instead of making the bulk of the book(s) be long-winded, repetitive introspection.

All the Duskwalkers and even a lot of the main characters, despite the attempts at diversity, all sound the same. Meaning, all the dialogue is written in the same "voice." Duskwalkers sound different than humans, but otherwise everyone sounds the same.

I basically read these for the monster smut, but the plotline and world building can be somewhat interesting. My problem is that I can skip paragraphs or pages at a time and not be confused about what's going on. These books could easily be trimmed down while still keeping the the unique storyline and monster romance in place. Idk if it's the author wanting the books to be long and wordy, or if the editing just isn't great.

I also keep waiting for this series to end, but it just keeps going. 😅 I keep reading them to see what's new, but honestly they all feel pretty much the same. The names and spicy scenes just change up a bit.

A breath of fresh air after Ingram and Emerie's very intense book. It took me so long to go through the last Duskwalker Bride book but this took hardly any time at all. did I wish it was a little shorter, hell yeah, but I also adore this series and really grew to love Aleron. Reading his story reminded me of how I felt reading Magnar and Delora's story.

I really loved this couple! Honestly I thought their time in void-dad’s stomach was interesting, but the real story begins when they return to not Australia. I personally loved the
forgotten memories
trope because I think it made a lot of sense and fit well. I think they’re relationship is even stronger than it was before the
memory loss
. Aleron is so sweet and patient.

This is definitely a more couple-focused compared to the previous installments, which add a lot more building. I was hoping to found out the status of the demon king.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Breath of fresh air from the rest of the series. Would have been 5 stars but was quite long and the
re-falling in love
plot point was  frustrating for me.
