I have yet to read a Lisa Kleypas book I’ve enjoyed. They are all so mid with minimal to no character growth. I’m never convinced the characters are in love. I do not understand how her books are so highly recommended. This book also included racist slurs.
My favorite if the series. I love how the women become better people and evolve through self reflection and honest effort to improve themselves, not from getting a silly makeover.

this book was soo problematic, where do i even begin
Marriage for convenience? A reluctant romance? Frenemies to lovers? I loved this so so so much! It was so nice to see Evie grow into herself and for Sebastian to learn to actually love someone. Would 100% read again!
