Both this book and Desperation stuck with me for YEARS because of how dark it is. I'm reviewing this now because I figured I should still add books that I read over 7 years ago to the list of books read.
But DAMN, y'all, Tak is a menace to society.
The fact that everything takes place in a single afternoon while flipping the characters from Desperation upside down is just wild. Anyway, if you have a strong stomach, I recommend giving this and Desperation a read, although, maybe read Desperation first.
