Den mindede mig om Jerome Bixbys novelle "It's a Good Life", som SK må have haft med i tankerne.

Not my favorite Stephen King but super action packed right from the start. This almost feels like King’s take on a slasher considering the amount of characters that get obliterated and in different ways. Loved the action but because of the nature of the book I never got attached to any of the characters. King is known for his character work and there are standout characters in this one as well but it is much more plot driven from the start. It also had a mixed media aspect that I was not expecting and like the letters mixed in between chapters. A nice companion to Desperation but neither are in my top King.
