While I continue to enjoy how Ms. Sayers finds different ways to tell her stories, this was a bit of a slog.

I like Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries without distinction. I'm not sure why. Perhaps its the relationship between Lord Peter and the Scotland Yard detective Charles Parker. Perhaps its the relationship between Lord Peter and his man(-servant) Bunter. [Does Bunter have a first or last name?]

I gave this 4 stars because I found it extremely clever and well put together. However, it could use more than one read as There are a couple loose threads which I, as a novice mystery reader, was unable to adequately connect. No doubt they do, but I got lost in the twist somewhere. I particularly enjoyed the not so subtle discussions of women’s equality and capabilities.
