i really loved this series when i was a kid, and i held off giving this book away for ages so i finally dug it up & reread it! i am not quite as thoroughly enamoured as i was at age 9 but it was still fun. the characters were eh but it's not meant to be a character-driven book and i remember thoroughly adoring alice when i was younger. maybe i will also reread the rest of the series, maybe i will not ....it all depends on what the library has in store for me when I go there later today!
