This was hard read. It was sad watching her descent into an abusive relationship and how he spiraled in the face of his father's abuse. Ultimately, it was compelling to read but it made my heart hurt.

After having watched the Netflix adaptation, this book was on top of my to-read pile. I found the story very captivating and realistically told.
