Such an interesting and creative set of short stories, I enjoyed them all, and a couple were sublime. If you ask me, Cixin Liu is the best science fiction author working today

Ah! Delightful!
Only half the stories I had not read elsewhere before, but I'm glad I got my hand on this.
Ode to Joy, a happy surprise. It was weird for me a bit, because it's the hymn for the EU, so I wouldn't think anyone would see it as an international/universal rallying point, but why not I guess, it's as good as anything else. Really wonderful to read, especially now.

Didn't really enjoy. Nothing super interesting and very flat characters.

To Hold Up the Sky is a collection of short stories from Liu Cixin who's mostly known for his Three Body Problem trilogy.

This collection is a mixed bag. The stories range from very bad, to middling to great. Two (out of eleven) stories really spoke to me and the rest were mostly meh.

There are a few diamonds in the rough, but most of these stories are thoroughly mediocre and uninspired. You can tell that Liu used all of his best stories in The Wandering Earth: this collection contains those that didn't make the cut
