I enjoyed the writing style but it seemed a bit of a repeat trope for me. But it was generally a cute little story. I did find the MMC's backstory to be kind of outlandish but I guess I'm not wealthy enough to understand it as a possibility.

Enjoyable Quotes:

Hello, red flag the size of Texas.

Every dream is worthy. Even if it is tiny and insignificant to one person, it may be impossible to another.

Cages aren't made of bars. They're made of thoughts, expectations, and fears.

Love is an illness, and the first symptom is prioritizing their happiness over yours.

the ending of this book is what rounded it from a 2 star to a 3 star rating for me. I think My Dark Romeo has taught me that darker romances (&, potentially, billionaire romances) aren’t something that I particularly enjoy.

I found all of the characters to be vapid, two-dimensional, & completely unrelatable. whatever made them more tolerable to me seemed equally unrealistic.

however, once Romeo & Dallas finally realised that they were in love with one another, I was able to enjoy the book slightly more than I did for the first seventy percent.

Smut heavy, easy read. Nice bit of escapism.

A tough romance read for me. I was able to finish this book pretty quickly but caught myself skimming pages often. Although not for me personally, I have heard this is a favorite by many.

Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this book to start reading…

When I first saw it on TikTok months ago I thought it seemed interesting then I went and read some reviews… and they weren’t exactly positive… But, I brought it for myself with some gift cards (girl maths = free) and decided I needed to tackle my ever growing tbr and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was it the best book ever?
Nah.
But, it did entertain me and got me so absorbed that I finished it within two days.

Every single character is insufferable and immature. Every single one felt like a twelve year old puppeting and adults body.

This book was fucking amazing, I loved it, it was hilarious, so full of love and just genuinely wholesome! It’s one of my favourite books and I definitely recommend it, you won’t regret it!! Btw I read it two times in a few months (I think it’s the first book I read again) soooo that itself explains how damn good it is!! ♥️💋
