This is a new adult (who I think this geared towards and older, because it is quite gruesome and covers dark topics, like murder and mass shootings, not to say youth don’t experience this right now, but this reads to me as being geared towards an older audience) graphic novel about a kid who has premonitions about folks who either are going to commit an impulsive crime of passion or a premeditated murder/attack. She is approached by an organization that claims they want to use her power to stop these violent crimes, but they’re not what they seem!
I appreciated the commentaries on organizations that seem to posture themselves as the morality police, and how they use power for nefarious goals. I think this would translate well to becoming a tv series on Freeform or MTV, or a made-for-tv movie. I love the abolitionist concepts being highlighted in giving folks a chance to make a different decision and providing community care, rather than killing them or throwing them in prisons. I would definitely read from Kristin Kiesling again in the future!
