This book has me SHOOK, capital letters SHOOK with emotion. Confrontations that had me literally clamping a hand over my mouth in utter shock. A third act breakup that literally ripped my heart out. One thing after another but so completely fabulous. I am most definitely going back for all the rest of this series. This story has had me so emotionally invested I didn’t think I could get anymore invested, but the last 1/4 of the book had me on emotional tenterhooks. I had goosebumps, tears, tremors. I have not been so physically impacted by a story in a very long time. Not just the romance but the family healing and trauma rep were so impactful. The audio performance was literal perfection!! Shane East continues to wow in my ‘East’ audio marathon. The amount of emotion he and Stella Hunter were able to pull from me with their narration surprised even me. This review is a hot mess because after reading this story, I am a hot mess! I can’t even wrap my head around all of the emotions that have been wrought out of my body in the past 8 hours (yes, 8 hrs! Because I could not walk away. Once I was in it, there was no turning back.)

I love a marriage of convenience!! I loved listening to this book I love the Scottish accent and the fact that they fell in love during the fake marriage I loved it

Have I found a new one-click author? I THINK SO! @mustloveaudio gave me the opportunity to listen to Skies Over Caledonia by @authorsamanthayoung and my love for the story knows no bounds.
In this story, I really enjoyed how Allegra felt like she could rely on Jared (later on in the book obviously) and he was fully prepared to do what it took to make her feel loved and wanted. Their relationship/friendship grew throughout the book and I really enjoyed seeing them grow as characters. SY did such a good job of showing character development in this book, and I was absolutely here for it.
This audiobook was narrated by @shaneeastreads and @stellahunternarrator and we already know their voices are magic to my ears. This is one I would highly recommend listening to!!

I love everything about this series. Strong, lovable characters, ups and downs, and so much more. Jared and Allegra have a pull from their first meeting, add in some years, a marriage of convenience, and those sparks start to fly! Both of them have had sadness and frustrations in their past, and I loved how those things were able to pull them closer. There's also a good swirl of suspense, just enough to keep you on edge. The story flowed well, kept the pages turning, and I loved every second.
