Ah, Jase and Tess... From the time these two saw each other on campus in the first book, Wait for You, I just knew there was something stronger than mutual attraction between them. ^.^ Theirs is a beautiful story that was just waiting to be told and I'm so glad Jennifer L. Armentrout (aka J. Lynn) decided to make Be with Me all about them.
Teresa Hamilton and Jase Winstead shared one memorable kiss a few years ago and while neither have forgotten it, they do not discuss it and continue playing the roles they're more comfortable with, Tess as Cam's sister and Jase as Cam's best friend. Well, Tess would like to be more than just that but let's face it, most big brothers aren't really keen on their "baby" sisters and their best friends getting together.
Jase also happens to be keeping a secret, one that I pretty much guessed in the first chapter. It wasn't that it was obvious, just that I like trying to figure out everything as quickly as possible. It can be a bad habit at times. Hehe. Anyway, this secret is part of the reason Jase is hesitant to be in any sort of romantic relationship with girl, but most especially Tess.
I loved how these two tried avoiding each other but simply couldn't stop themselves whenever their paths crossed. The evolution of their relationship is different from that of Cam and Avery's but Jase and Tess also end up having to deal with something that Tess knows all too well.
Suffice it to say that Jase and Tess's road to their own happily ever after isn't all that smooth but you'll be glad you went along for the ride. ^.^ I'm giving Be with You 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars for GR purposes. ♥

I wasn’t expecting the twist around the 60% mark. I knew there had to be something big coming but wasn’t expecting that.

Oh my god. That’s about all I can say right now. So… give me a moment okay?
…a few minutes later…
She’s done it again, damnit. Why does she feel the need to do that to me every time? Jennifer certainly knows how to make me feel all kinds of things with just her words. This is one amazing sequel to an amazing book. And yes, we do see Cam and Avery again!
Be With Me is about Teresa Hamilton, Cam’s sister. She’s having a rough year. An injury to her knee forced her to go to college and put her dance carreer on hold, maybe even end it and she’s in love with her brother’s best friend. But he hasn’t spoken to her since that one kiss last year after she got out of a terrible relationship. And Jase has a secret of his own.
So I’ll start with the one tiny bad thing in this book. I found it hard to get into. At first I didn’t really get the relationship between Teresa and Jase because I don’t feel like I had that introduction to how they feel and all that. Maybe if there had been a prologue or something with that kiss, that might have been better. But it got better and once I hit the 30% mark, I was completely in the story. Seeing as how I read it all in one sitting, I’d say that is just one very very tiny thing. There are a few twists and turns I did not see coming at all and some of them broke my heart and some of them explained a lot. And yes, we see Cam and Avery again. He is Teresa’s brother after all. But we do get to see progress in their relationship too.
I LOVED Teresa. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, to say what needs to be said even though she knows it’ll hurt her too. And she’s so strong. She has been through and still is going through so much and she keeps her head up high. And Jase doesn’t make it any easier. He can be such an idiot. I seriously wanted to slap him sometimes. But then you get to know why he’s acting that way and then he acts really sweet and there’s only one way to describe Jase when he’s at his best behavior and it’s something Teresa said near the beginning of this book.
Indeed. So. Now that that’s out of the way. I loved this book a lot and I totally got sucked into the romance and I really want to know what’ll happen next with Teresa and Jase and Cam and Avery. So if you loved the first book, just read this one too. You’ll love it. Oh and can we get this story from Jase’s point of view too? That would be awesome.

AND CAM IS GOING TO PROPOSE TO AVERY!!!! He had a plan but then something happened so he didn’t and I hope there’s going to be a novella or something where he does and she says yes and then the wedding.I LOVED Teresa. "I mean, do you believe that some things are just mean to happen?"
I am a sucker for good, college romances and this one totally fit the bill! Of course, there was tons of angst, which I loved. While the "secret" was easy to figure, it was still a highly enjoyable read. Tess was a strong, likable character, which doesn't happen often with NA books. Despite her dramatic events, she continued to remain strong. Shockingly, it was Jase that drove me crazy at times. However, I overlooked his slight character flaws because hew was so adorable. He and Tess were perfect for each other. It was nice to see Cam and Avery too. I only wish some of the book had been in Jase's POV. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
If you are a fan of NA, I highly recommend this series and book.
