I enjoyed it for what it was. There was a lot of emphasis on the mating bond and I wish there had been more focus on Thea as an individual. I also wish the Second Rite had played a more prominent role in the story.

The first book while not amazingly well written was dramatic and gripping. This one has dragged and been dramatic in the high school way. It is tragically bad and if I had to hear either one of their inner monologues go on about the other or their “bond” again I was going to pull my eyes out.
