One of 2018's top reads
I felt every word of this book. It is a narrative which sometimes takes longer to get through than a story with more dialogue. But there are several stories to be told while Oliver Loving is trapped in a vegetative state for almost 10 years after a school shooting.

I really tried with this book. The premise seemed interesting but I cannot get past his writing. It feels like he went through a thesaurus and changed every word to something more extravagant. The prose is just clunky and makes it really hard to want to read this.

i started reading this book in january (!! wow) and just got bored - i honestly didn’t connect with it at all and found myself skim reading most of it. shame as the blurb made it seem really interesting!! maybe just me :-(

3.5 stars. I was intrigued by the story line. Characters were very believable. But I wasn’t really wowed.
