An extremely informational read post-2016 election. I'd be very interested in seeing an expanded version after the 2024 election and into Trump's second round of presidency. Especially considering we've fallen further since 2018 when this was published.

This is a very important read especially for those who want to understand how we got to the dumpster fire that we are in now. It highlights not only the our history but shows great examples of other countries histories. There are great examples of the ways things fall apart and we can definitely see those things playing out right now. The last chapter was a little hard because too much has happened since this book was written to think things can be done in such a manner to peacefully save our country. I highly recommend this book if you want to understand where things went wrong.
had to read this for my poli sci class. i'd be interested in seeing what they have to say about 2020 and onwards.
