Absolutely loved this book! It had everything for me, from real world issues to smut. Often authors don't know how to write children but Williams did a fantastic job with pre-teen and teenagers perspectives. The character growth felt real and true. Loved all the imagery and descriptions.

They spend a week together as teens and then become authors and write to/about each other ever since. The premise is darling. The book didn’t quite deliver on being darling. It was still a really good book. Challenging, sometimes dark, very realistic characters. Read it! But not if you’re looking for something charming.

Absolutely love this author. The timeline and narrator jumping never felt confusing at ALL. It just made the story more vibrant and detailed.

The way I tripped and fell and became obsessed with this book in approximately 0.2 seconds. I'm in awe of Tia Williams' writing and the way she crafted this story. I cared so deeply about Eva and Shane I felt unwell. This was simply brilliant.
