An exceptionally moving tale of one woman's descent into Alzheimer's and the effects this disease had on her, her family, friends, life, etc.

One of those quiet books that sneak up on you and take your feet away. A must read for every person who's ever had a lapse in memory or who is around someone who has - i.e everyone. Deals with early onset Alzheimer's in a compassionate and gripping way

This was an extremely hard book to read. My grandfather died with AD. It was hard to see it progress with the disease. Alice's account of the disease was eye opening and tear worthy!

A harrowing look inside a subject not often broached in modern mediums of art. This book sneaks up on you in unsuspecting ways, both gripping you with worry for Alice in moments, and wrenching your heart in her most peaceful moments of loss.

Very realistic portrayal of alzheimer's. From the time Alice found out, through the time she was aware enough to know she was declining. The torment of her husband....how much of his life does he sacrifice? Her desire to end her life before she lost herself. All of it rang true.
