I’ve never read anything better. I was crying, breathing hard, heart was palpitating, thought I was going to throw up. I am so gut wrenchingly distraught it’s not even fathomable. I downloaded the second book as soon as I finished the first.

While this was a hard book at times, I absolutely fell in love with the characters! So much so, that I truly felt the love throughout the book despite so much heartache & grief. This book left me feeling empty, broken, lost, extremely emotional, yet full of hope as the FMC truly shows what strength is like on so many levels. Salem, Forrest, Thayer, Georgia, Lauren, Caleb & Salem’s mother all hold a special place in my heart! Especially Forrest 🫶🏼

This book was so sad.
Salem is an 18-year-old girl who has lived through such a hard life.
Thayer is a grump older (35) neighbor who recently moved in.
Salem begins to see him as more than just her neighbor and the connection grows the more she babysits his son.
Eventually, they get to a place where they’re happy and they’re going to announce their relationship only for it to come crashing down in a single moment.

This book does not have a HEA. BOOK 2 does.
