I’m so hooked on the Brutal Billionaire series. The storyline between Emmalina and Reid from when they first met until the end. I loved seeing what these two characters went through and how they grew in this book. I highly recommend this book if you like drama, spice, billionaires and romance

Lina… I loved her. I thought her character was so wholesome. She was young and still trying to figure herself out, trying to get rid of the one thing she thought was holding her back. In comes Reid. He was sexy, rich, but 10 years older than her. They left the club together, ready for a one-night-stand, but once Reid found out Lina was still a virgin, he refused to sleep with her. Months later, Lina’s mom is getting married when Reid shows up. It turns out, Reid is a Sebastian! Aka her now step-cousin! After trying to deny each other for months, they finally give in and start seeing each other. The catch, Reid’s father and Lina’s step-father hate each other. They’ve been in a feud for decades. This means that they have to keep their relationship a secret as they try to navigate what their relationship actually means. Reid has never let himself get close to anyone, his father has made sure of that. And Lina is inexperienced, she’s never been with anyone else before. Too soon, people start to find out and they are forced to figure out their feelings for each other.
This was such a fun and quick read for me, like all of Laurenlin’s books seem to be! I devoured it in a few days, I just couldn’t put it down. I felt like Lina’s character was kind of relatable in that she was 21 years old but still not sure what she wanted for her life. She was pushed into working for one of the Sebastian companies since she was kind of a Sebastian now, but she didn’t really feel like she fit in. Still, she gave it her best and eventually found that her art was what she wanted to pursue. Sometimes, we need “fail” at one thing to figure out what it is we truly want.
Anyways, I am just loving this series so far and absolutely cannot wait for the rest!!

The main female character was young and immature. Her personality was her virginity and an inability to have thoughts stay in her head.
Not as angsty as the last standalone, but I still absolutely enjoyed every minute of this audiobook and this twisted family.
The couple was my favorite part. I loved that they just couldn’t stay away from each other even when they knew they should. They had fun together, and I loved most of all how the story concluded. I don’t want to give spoilers so I will leave it at that.
If you love he falls first, forbidden, billionaire heroes, you will enjoy this one. And audiobook lovers, it was a great listen!

Fun read. The references to Spy x Family had me laughing. Would recommend this one to friends and would read again!

I think this story was one of the sweeter & funnier books I've read of Mrs. Paige. Of course there is a slight taboo aspect that we've come to love in her books.
