Ever since the ending of book 1 I couldn’t wait to read Alba and Gabriel story. It was sort of predictable what happened after that ending in Book 1 but I didn’t expect all the suspense and a little bit of heartbreak.

Book 2 starts with Gabriel breaking Alba’s heart but he had his reasons. The things he said to her made me gasp and kwashiorkor surprised he said those things. For the record, he’s more intense than ever than he was in Book 1, lol.

Alba went off to college and met Sam and Leah with whom she forms a bond. She’s being a normal college freshman until certain events changes everything. She shows a strength that I didn’t know she had. She starts making decisions without worrying what others have to say or think.

Gabriel has an incident from his past come back to haunt him along with other issues to deal with. As usual his brothers are there and have his back 100%. Him and Alba find themselves together again facing more suspense and danger but after the dust is cleared they have their HEA which was a bit bittersweet but still nice.

The secondary characters as always are fun to read about but seeing what happened to Reid it broke my heart and I really hope he gets his own story and HEA.

Great characters. The story picked up right where the previous book had ended which was nice to have that continuation. I'm enjoying this series.

There is something extremely comforting about going back to my old favourites and re reading the stories I first discovered when starting to read books. Because of that it's not hard to enjoy and love them just as much as the first time - it definitely gives me nostalgia. Which is exactly how I felt rereading Alba and Gabriel's story.

You know what this was pretty good. Loved Alba and side characters. Can’t wait to get to all their books. Gabriel is a typical alphahole and some moments I could not tolerate him buuut those are the typical “men” you get in motorcycle club (mc) books. What I did love was how protective he was of Alba.
