A cozy mystery series that takes place in India that is funny and light, though given more weight by examining Indian culture and traditions. In this installment, we look at science and belief in the miraculous, with a really satisfying conclusion.

Another great installment in the Vish Puri series. In this mystery, he solves a murder that seems to have divine intervention. A Hindu god appears and stabs a laughing man in broad daylight and then disappears. The mystery kept me guessing throughout.

How have I never heard of these books? I love them. Mami Ji is my very favorite character. When she berates her driver, I can't stop laughing. All of the characters are well formed and three dimensional. I can't wait to read the third book. The focal mystery was interesting, but the side mystery was better. I said before that the series reminds me of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency or the Flavia DeLuce series. This is a nice clean read flavored with garam masala.

Lots of fun, especially with Sam Dastor's voice-acting.
