Dub-con, 18+ There was no safe word mentioned for Tad to use if he needed to and there should have been. Even though it was part of a bet, there should have been a safe way out for Tad if he needed it and there wasn’t. Other than that I loved the book.

Very entertaining novella. Full smut with an interesting main duo that has be keen to read the sequel.
Got the audio while it was on sale so might wait for another sale to pick up the sequel, or I might just read it on KU.

Holy shit this was preposterous. Michael Pauley is less than stellar in this one. The narration gave me the creeps. Almost to the point where I don't know if I would listen to anything else he's done.
I will be avoiding this series.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS BOOK CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT LIKE: BDSM AND SEX IN GENERAL.
It's also an erotic m/m novel. (male/male)
I first want to say that I'm a fantasy reader and romace/erotic isn't/wasn't really my thing. Why I bought the first three volumes (with around 250 pages) and finished it at 4am? Well, it was pretty good. Like really good.
Please be aware that I don't expect much of romance/erotic books. Because if you look for characters and everything it's actually not really there but the sex scenes are pretty hot.
I also wanted to say a few quick things, Tad (the protagonist) gets really intense and good sex with Scott (love interest?) and while Tad...uhm has a good time. He has to convince himself that he's straight. I never read a bigger #nohomo in my life. He was through the whole three volumes, especially volume 2, acting like every staright dude gets hot bdsm sex and massages. It was annoying but also really funny, actually.
I will put this review in the first three volumes (of six).

Me to Layla: “I loved my GA book but I need something super steamy now.”
Layla: “Have you read Upending Tad? It’s Want Me level steam. Maybe even steamier.”
Me: “Say no more.”
Thank you Layla my darling book goddess for suggesting this smoking hot little gem.
Was it basically nonstop smut? Yes
Was it kind of repetitive with a TAD (see what I did there?) cringy in places dialogue? Also yes.
But was it just what I needed at this moment in time? YES.
I don’t know. The heart wants what it wants. And what it wanted today was lots of smut.

Now this is how you write a sex scene.!
After reading some boring sex stuff in other books (yawn!), I was about to give up on "erotica" when this little gem surfaced. For me, it's not the act of sex itself but the build up that makes it a toe-curling treat!
Also non-juvenile writing also helps. I'm a sucker for words. They are sexy.

this is basically a very long sex scene, there's not much plot just a hot "straight" shy boy and a hot (i think Dom) dude.
i'll read the series 'cause i wanna know what happens with cute Tad!

I came across this book when I researched Kora Knight - I had absolutely loved her "Nira Chronicles" series and wanted more of the same. This short novella absolutely delivered (minus the sci-fi part of course). I love her writing style! Keep in mind there is some serious dub-con in here (so well written!). Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
