Okay, I absolutely adore Honey, but Honey Perribow????? WHY. Anyway, Honey falls in love/besotment with her teacher, what she doesn’t know is that he is the best friend of her roommate’s boyfriend. Ben is immediately charmed by Honey in a social setting, but what he doesn’t realise is that Honey is the same girl whose essay’s he is entirely infatuated with. I was grateful that there wasn’t some sort of drawn out miscommunication trope thrown in half way through, as that’s easy to do and not uncommon for a unforbidden love book, I genuinely could not see a common sense way out of the situation, which is a trap a lot of romance books tend to fall into. I loved when Ben arrived frazzled at Honey’s hometown bar a ruined man, despite my love for Elmer. Honey has a lot of strong emotions, and you really feel them reading this, I got sucked in which made parts of this book heartbreaking. Despite Ben being a stupid man several times throughout, I was fond of both mc’s and overall, it was really funny and heartwarming.

I love when Tessa Bailey writes a hero who's a bit stuffy on the outside but has a secret dirty side and Ben was no exception. 'Need Me' was a sweet with a side of dirty professor/student romance. I've been working my way thru the authors back catalog and I felt like this one could compete with some of her newer books (Fox and Hannah will always be the ultimate couple goals).
