Yall idec. Book was garbage. It made me cry. My heart was squeezed too hard. The book is not 5 stars because of how it was written but for how it made me feel. He bought her a freaking baseball field. Love will never be this good

Honey is a self-reliant young woman who was raised on a farm and in a small town, so she has always been around animals. Because of this, she initially intended to become a veterinarian. However, she decided to move to New York, where she eventually became friends with Abby and Roxy (Chase Me) and pursued a pre-med degree. She eventually enrols in an elective in English literature, where she meets Ben, the teacher—and a very young one at that.
Ben, an English literature lecturer at a university, falls in love with Honey, a woman who sits in the back of the class. She eventually moves to the front, but Ben decides he shouldn't pursue the relationship because, ultimately, she is a student and he is her teacher, and she doesn't care.
Russell and Louis are Ben's closest pals; we first meet Louis in the first book of the "Chase Me" series, and he eventually dates Roxy. Since Roxy had done well, Louis, the wonderful boyfriend, wanted to throw her a party with Abby's (her flatmate and the apartment's owner) assistance. When Ben and Honey are stuck in a supply closet gathering more chairs, that's when they actually start talking.
Although I like this book slightly more than the first, it still get the same three stars as the previous book because of the awkward or outright unlawful ways in which several issues are handled. I don't understand why she was expelled from the institution without warning or why her parents were informed before her.
Why did I wait so long to read this book? It was amazing!! I loved loved loved it! When I met Honey in Chase Me I knew her story would be great. I didn't realize at the time that it would also be about Ben!! OMG. Professor Ben and his dirty talk. SO HOT. I can't shout loud enough how great this book is.

I reaaaally dislike teacher-student relationships in books...Blech. So many ethical issues with it, it just glosses over the whole thing with "we're both consenting adults" although I do appreciate how Ben ends up changing jobs and gets Honey to drop his class (although there are some plot holes with how that works with her scholarship...also how does her family hear about her scholarship before she does??? There are laws about privacy like that? And she can't just be kicked out within like 3 days...so many issues with that but whatever).
Ben's not a completely horrible person but he's taken over by his need for Honey, which I find to be a tiresome and ridiculous trope. It's sticking to 2 stars because I love Tessa Bailey's writing, but this isn't my fav.
