More keys, the more the plot thickens. I'm in love with this story!

This has always been my favourite volume, and I think it deserved to be. The drowning cave section is a great character piece, and the shadows are very creepy. After that though it gets a bit bogged down in fight scenes. The end chapter with Nina and the mending cabinet is very good, and quite painful to read. Overall it's really good, but not quite as excellent as I remembered.

Update (January 30, 2024): Don't know what I was talking about; the fights are fun.

I enjoyed this one more than the last and I feel like the story had a lot more development in this volume. I still am not particularly attached or fond of any of the characters, though Bode is of course my favourite. I am interested in continuing with the series to learn about all the keys! THE KEYS!

No Rufus, BUT still amazing...love it! Better than the show...still a few similarities, but books are always better!

This volume was much more emotionally charged, suspenseful & move the plot along nicely. My favorite of the series so far!

It gets ever so slightly better the more you read. Or maybe my standards dropped sharply overnight.
