Overall, I enjoyed it. I do wish it was a bit longer though. MC is kind of annoying at times but most of the time, she was fine. I do feel like it was a bit…lackluster? The spicy scenes were spicy but, wish there was more to the plot. Ending seemed a bit, rushed. Pretty quick read though.

This is one of my absolute favourite books. I found a snippet of it on an ad and was so intrigued I just had to dive right in. I have reread it so many times because I just love the chemistry between the two characters.

He is so fiercely protective and I loved everything he did to ensure they would be together. When she thinks he betrays her, my heart broke with her.

This was written so amazingly that it made me fall in love with Renee Rose’s works and I have read a lot. But this book holds a special place in my heart as my favourite of all time.

Mafia romance is my favorite. So when I found out that this author had written one I was ecstatic. When I read it and found out it was going to be part of a series I might have fangirled a little because it was so much better than I was anticipating.

This was a very well thought out story. There was a great foundation for the story and plenty of secondary characters that paves the way for future stories. YAY!!!

Nico is a dominant alpha mafia man that unlike typical mafia men because he wants a legitimate run family business and not one that dabbles in drugs or girls, or money. He is not a fool by thinking that he can escape it entirely which is what made this story plausible. His mouth is hotter than Hades. Sondra is the innocent sweet girl that wants to trust implicitly. She has no idea why she is so drawn to Nico but she embraces it. These two combined are perfect for each other. They are light and dark juxtaposed together.

I cannot wait to read the next in the series. I want more Corey and I definitely want more Tony.

Stars: 4
Sexual Orientation: M/F
HEA or Chain: HEA with a series for other

I would say it had very minimal dark themes but very minimal. There was some Sirs and Spankings but that’s about the extent of it.

Hero: I liked him. He’s well written with could be considered real world problems. He’s dominant, mafia and owner of a casino.

Heroine: An actual adult woman!! She’s graduated and already been working so yeah not another 18 and 19 year old story. She’s also well written but she went from being intensely curious of Mafia to a big OMG you have a gun! So yeah.

Best part of the book: I enjoyed the courtship that happened. There was give and take, so much better than meeting someone and marrying them in 48 hrs, lol. I must say I really enjoyed this book.

Worst part of the book: Don’t really have a worse part this time, I wish it was longer. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was cause I wasn’t OMG I need the next book!!! I will read the next book but Im not anxious like some others.
