This is such a fun, quick read, Morgana Best has done it again with the second book in this very underrated Cozy Mystery Series. I thoroughly enjoy the character development throughout this book, especially in regard to the House. As a baker myself, I find myself struggling to understand what Amelia finds to be so difficult about following the recipes and baking times. At times I’m frustrated when I read that she’s burned yet another cake, but also find myself cheering her on and wanting so badly to hear of her successfully completing a cake or cupcakes, anything at this point. The murder mystery is my second favourite aspect of this book, I figured out the murderer early on but the twists and turns made me second guess if I had it right until I knew that I did. I’m a fan of this series overall and look forward to picking up the next instalment.

Really love this series. I enjoyed this one a little more than book 1 as I can see how the story is building as the series progresses and it felt that this book focused a little more on this development. As soon as I finished it I went straight out and got book 3.

I am loving this cosy mystery, any cosy witch mystery I jump on straight away.
I am sad about the love interest though, he seemed like such a decent guy.

These are just so easy to read. Like a warm blanket.

I'm done with this series, sorry. I would like to (or do) believe in magick, and this author shows no understanding of it. Young lady finds out she's a witch. Bam, she's doing spells. No training, no respect for the craft (do no harm lest it return threefold), tosses aside a book of shadows as a 'recipe book' and never references it again.

I'm not saying it was poorly written, but the plots (I read #1 and #2 in a few hours each) were silly and unbelievable with absolutely no honor of the traditions. Give me Nora Roberts, Shirley Damsgaard, Debora Geary or a multitude of others any day. Two stars as a credit to the author for decent editing and completing a number of books.

I really loved the second installment in this series! It’s so much fun and such a cute read, I love all the mischief! Can’t wait to keep going in this series!

This was a cute sequel to Miss Spelled! I loved learning even more about the characters.

4/5 stars for this Cozy Mystery! Once again, don't be fooled by this cover, this is such a great series! I highly recommend The Kitchen Witch Series for any fans of cozy mysteries, with a bit of magical realism thrown in. I love the characters and the story! The audio is great! These should totally be turned into Hallmark Movies....hmm, wonder who I should contact about that....
