I've been so sick the past week, and reading these books is like coming home. They're so cozy, fun, and I love the conversations, banter, and eccentric characters. She has such a way with writing Midwest people that feels true to life (spoken by a Michigander!), I just love these books with all my heart.

The small county of Mooseville has seen aliens! Rumors about a missing backpacker are that he's been abducted. Qwill with the help of his 2 little aliens, Koko and Yum Yum, dive into another case. And when the backpacker's body has been found, another soon follows. Is it extraterrestrial life or is there a killer loose?

There is nothing here to make a reader invested in any of the characters in this story. Most of it is filler; there’s really no mystery. It was repetitive and boring.
This book finds Qwill and the cats at their cabin in Mooseville. A lot of the folk tales and stories from the area are heard (some of which were published separately in Short and Tall Tales: Moose County Legends Collected by James Mackintosh Qwilleran), and the story has a bit of a supernatural tinge to it, in regards to UFOs, or "Visitors" as the townsfolk call them! Enjoyable read.
The Cat Who ... series from Lillian Braun never fail to entertain. If you like some light mystery with lots of relatable, interesting characters, you'll find this series right up your alley.

A total disappointment. The author was just trying to fulfill a certain number of pages with rubbish. I used to enjoy the lay back life in that small town while a murder plot develops.But this time,the plot was actually a subplot,solved hastily in a few dismal pages.
I would like to know one more thing. Why do cozy mysteries have to have extensive description of every bite the protagonist puts in his/her mouth?
